My other favourite day after International Women's Day and my children's birthdays. Obviously.
Today, the long list for the Women's Prize for Fiction was released and not only have I not read a single book on this list yet, it is full of authors I haven't read at all. This makes me a rather happy bunny.
I've added all the books below to my wish list:
These are previous Women's Prize nominees which I've loved
- Lyrics Alley by Leila Aboulela
- Room by Emma Donoghue
- A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan
- The Memory of Love by Aminatta Forna
- Grace Williams Says it Loud by Emma Henderson
- The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver
- The White Women on the Green Bicycle by Monique Roffey
- Half a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- Small Island by Andrea Levy
- Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
- Fugitive Pieces by Anne Micheals.
