Feminism is Dead. Again.

I am getting rather bored with women who have no understanding of Feminism declaring Feminism dead.  I was going to write a scathing reply to Anne Lloyd's whiny-arsed blog in the Huffington Post. I just can't be bothered with women who whine about Feminists being "angry" and "aggressive" because we are still fighting for things like equal pay. Frankly, if you think women in the west are receiving equal pay for equal work, you are just stupid. I know it's unsisterly to call other women stupid but I am so bored by women who think that just because they have well-paying jobs, that all women do. It's so lacking in critical thinking, class analysis and any kind of empathy. I don't understand women who refuse to acknowledge how racism, homophobia and disablism change the experiences and "choices" of othered women.

We need to stop addressing these women. If they can't see the woods for the trees, that is a problem we can't fix. Instead, we need to focus on dismantling the Patriarchy. There is no argument that will demonstrate just how insidious misogyny is to women like Anne Lloyd who can't tell the difference between "femininity" as gender performance and Feminism as a political theory.
